Campitelli is the X. Rione (district) of Rome . It includes the Capitol and Palatine Hills , which are part of the classic Seven Hills of Rome .

history

The name of the district is derived from the Latin Capitolium , the most important of the hills of Rome with the temple of the Capitoline Triassic .

coat of arms

The coat of arms shows a dragon head. It is reminiscent of the legend according to which Pope Silvester I drove away a dragon that lived in the ruins of the Temple of Castor and Pollux in the Roman Forum .
