Attilio R. Frassinelli

Attilio R. Frassinelli (born August 7, 1907 in Stafford , Connecticut , † February 1976 ) was an American politician . Between 1967 and 1971 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Connecticut.

Career

Nothing is known about Attilio Frassinelli's youth and school education. He later worked in the insurance industry and real estate business. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party . As early as 1932, he was a member of the education committee in his hometown of Stafford. Between 1946 and 1958 he was City Councilor ( First Selectman ) in Stafford. From 1947 to 1953 he was also a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives . He was also a member of the state board of his party and state commissioner for consumer protection. Between 1952 and 1972 he was a substitute delegate to various Democratic National Conventions on several occasions .

In 1966, Frassinelli was elected lieutenant governor of Connecticut alongside John N. Dempsey . He held this office between 1967 and 1971. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . After the end of his time as Lieutenant Governor, he no longer appeared politically. He died in February 1976.
