Michael Fedele

Michael Fedele (born March 30, 1955 in Minturno , Italy ) is an American politician . Between 2007 and 2011 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Connecticut .

Career

Michael Fedele graduated from Fairfield University in Connecticut and Norwalk State Technical College . He worked as a private businessman and founded the Stamford-based Pinnacle Group , which operates nationwide in the IT sector. He is the CEO of this company. At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Republican Party . Between 1987 and 1991 he was a member of the Stamford Town Council; from 1992 to 2002 he was a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives . In 2002 he ran unsuccessfully for the State Senate .

In 2006, Fedele was elected lieutenant governor of Connecticut alongside M. Jodi Rell . He held this office between 2007 and 2011. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. In February 2013, it was announced that he was running for Mayor of Stamford. In the elections on November 5, 2013, he was unable to prevail. He was defeated by the Democrat David Martin.

Michael Fedele is married and has three children.
