T. Clark Hull

Treat Clark Hull (born June 14, 1921 in Danbury , Connecticut , †  July 25, 1996 there ) was an American lawyer and politician . Between 1971 and 1973 he was lieutenant governor of Connecticut .

Career

Clark Hull graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire and then studied at Yale University until 1942 . He then took part in the Second World War between 1942 and 1946 as a soldier in the Air Corps of the American armed forces . After studying law at Harvard University and being admitted to the bar in 1948, he began working in this profession in Danbury. Politically, he joined the Republican Party . Between 1963 and 1971 he was a member of the Connecticut Senate .

In 1970, Hull was elected lieutenant governor of Connecticut alongside Thomas Joseph Meskill . He held this office between 1971 and 1973. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. In 1973 he became a judge on the Superior Court of his state. He then had to give up the post of lieutenant governor, which now fell to Peter L. Cashman . In the following years he held various judgeships in Connecticut. Since 1987 he has also worked as a judge at the local Supreme Court . In 1991 he had to give up this post due to age. He then worked as a state referee in civil proceedings. Clark Hull died in Danbury on July 25, 1996.
