Albert Day (politician)

Albert Day ( November 29, 1797November 11, 1876 ) was an American politician . In the years 1856 and 1857 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Connecticut .

Little is known about the life of Albert Day from the sources. Neither his place of birth nor his place of death have been recorded. Nothing is known about his professional career beyond politics. He lived in Hartford and became a member of the Free Soil Party . In 1856 he was elected lieutenant governor of the state of Connecticut, alongside William T. Minor . He held this office between 1856 and 1857. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . Day died on November 11, 1876.
