Julius Catlin

Julius Catlin ( December 14, 1798April 23, 1888 ) was an American politician . Between 1858 and 1861 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Connecticut .

The sources on Julius Catlin are extremely poor. Neither his place of birth nor his place of death have been recorded. Nothing is known about his life beyond his time as Lieutenant Governor. Politically, he joined the Republican Party founded in 1854 . In 1857, Catlin was elected lieutenant governor of the state of Connecticut alongside William Alfred Buckingham . He held this office between 1858 and 1861. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate .
