Aumühle is a district of Hilpoltstein in the Middle Franconian district of Roth in Bavaria, which was inhabited until the 1960s .

location

The mill was "on the small Röden" at about 380  m above sea level. NHN northeast of the center of Hilpoltstein.

history

In 1505 the mill belonged to the newly formed territory of Pfalz-Neuburg and there to the Hilpoltstein maintenance and caste office. The heavily indebted Count Palatine Ottheinrich pledged this office and thus also the mill in 1542 to the free imperial city of Nuremberg for 36 years . In 1544 the latter had a book about the town and country of Hilpoltstein created, which for Altenhofen names the “Ober-” and the “Unter-Mühl” in addition to the “Lochmühl”; one of these two mills probably meant the Aumühle. Because in 1604 the "Aumuhl" is listed next to the Schafhof, which has left the mill, in a description of the Hilpoltstein care office; at that time she was parish in Heuberg .

Until the end of the Old Kingdom , the mill with Altenhofen belonged to the Palatinate-Neuburg, and most recently curb-Bavarian Rentamt Hilpoltstein. The nurse at Hilpoltstein exercised the high level of jurisdiction .

In the new Kingdom of Bavaria (1806) a tax district Heuberg was formed. After the community was formed in 1820, the community of Heuberg also included the wasteland of Aumühle.

In the 19th century the mill was also known as the "lattice mill". Around 1830 it had a grinder. An official register from 1875 provides information about the livestock in the Aumühle desert; the miller, who was also an economist, had a horse and three head of cattle.

In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , the community of Heuberg and with it the Aumühle was incorporated into Hilpoltstein on January 1, 1972.

The official local registers from 1978 and 1987 show the district as "uninhabited". The mill area is now used as an industrial area for the town of Hilpoltstein.
