Ackerli (also: Acherli ) is a common quarter in the VI Bümpliz-Oberbottigen district and the statistical district 32 Bethlehem in the city of Bern . Adjacent common quarters are Holenacker , Eichholz , Bethlehemacker and Tscharnergut . Since the name Acherli is also used in official documents for the dormitory and development and the neighborhood is spoken like that, both names can be used.
In 2019 the resident population was 368, including 264 Swiss and 104 foreigners.
The quarter is dominated by the Acherli dormitory. The foundation stone was laid in 1986, the first occupancy took place in 1988. An indoor swimming pool that was also built was closed in 2004 and converted into training rooms. 95 residential spaces have been approved since 2014. In the Acherli residential complex, three rows of apartments with five and six floors and a total of 107 apartments were built between 2004 and 2009.
The band cooperative with one of three Bern locations in Ackerli offers sheltered jobs for the integration of people who are looking for reorientation or support in returning to work due to illness, accident or unemployment. The Catholic parish of St. Mauritius owns and operates the Mauritius church with a community center in Ackerli .

The tram line 8 runs from the station Holenacker over the center of Bern to Saali or to the railway station Bern Westside. In addition, there are good transport links to the neighboring district of Bern-Brünnen . The main roads 1 and 10 (common course) form the southern border.
