Planning

For the planned expansion of Bern (17,000 new residents by 2030), there are plans to build a new "green field" in the western part of Bümpliz. The good transport links from Brünnen on the adjacent Bethlehem side of the railway line would speak for it.

The planning provides for a development at the Rehag gravel pit; the preliminary assessment was completed in January 2017.
