The Fellergut is a common quarter in the VI Bümpliz-Oberbottigen district and the statistical district 29 Bümpliz in the city of Bern . Adjacent common quarters are the Bethlehemer Quartier Tscharnergut (separated by a railway line) and the Bümplizer Quartier Stapfenacker , Bümpliz Dorf and Schwabgut .
In 2019 the resident population was 1970 people, 1326 of whom were Swiss and 644 were foreigners.
history
The Fellergut, on the area of the former Fellerstock from the 17th century, is a high-rise estate that was built between 1966 and 1980. In the 1970s, on the initiative of the Bümpliz Association for the Care of Elderly People, a place was created for self-determined living in old age. 59 one and 30 two-room apartments were built in condominiums or rented to senior citizens. The opening took place in May 1976.
A block on Mühledorfstrasse built in the 1970s by the railway construction cooperative was extensively renovated in 2015.
