Stapfenacker is a common quarter in the VI Bümpliz-Oberbottigen district and the statistical district 29 Bümpliz in the city of Bern . Adjacent common quarters are the Bethlehem quarters Brünnen and Tscharnergut, separated by the railway line, and the Bümplizer quarters Fellergut , Bümpliz Dorf , and Winterhale . In the northwest it borders Niederbottigen , this part also belongs to Bümpliz.
In 2019 the resident population was 1482, of which 1159 were Swiss and 322 were foreigners.
Stapfenacker is primarily a housing estate with single and multi-family houses that were built during the Second World War . The aim was to solve the housing shortage - the large gardens also served as self-sufficiency in the context of the cultivation battle . The construction took place in two stages: 1942–1943 and 1944.
The tax administration of the Canton of Bern has its headquarters in Stapfenacker, as well as a school with a new building that was inaugurated in 2019.

There is a connection in the direction of the center with tram line 7. The bus 32 runs tangentially between Riedbach train station and Bümpliz Bachmätteli.
