History and description
The old Bümpliz Castle and the New Bümpliz Castle are located in Bümpliz Dorf . In 1919 Bümpliz was incorporated into Bern, and since then the farming village has developed into a satellite town of Bern. Bümpliz Dorf remained free of high-rise buildings - it has only been modernized occasionally.
The center of the quarter is a pedestrian zone in Bümplizstrasse. There is a supermarket, shops and the Gasthof Sternen, which, with its halls, is also the district's cultural meeting point. Another meeting point is the Bienzgut as a meeting center for children, young people and adults with a library, brewery and an outdoor area with fruit trees.
The Stadtbach flows through the quarter, partly through a tunnel.
traffic
There is a connection in the direction of the center with the tram line 7. The bus lines 27 and 32 run tangentially.
