The Bundestag constituency Hameln-Pyrmont - Holzminden (constituency 46) is located in Lower Saxony and includes the district of Hameln-Pyrmont , the district of Holzminden and the communities of Bodenfelde and Uslar from the Northeim district . Except for 1953 , the respective SPD candidate was able to win the direct mandate in this constituency in all federal elections . Until 1980, instead of the Holzminden district, the former Springe district belonged to the previous constituency of Hameln - Springe . From 1980 the Bundestag constituency Holzminden was added.

DP . The CDU and the FDP did not put up their own candidates and called for the election of Elbrächter.
Constituency history
The city of Hameln was independent until 1973 and has been part of the Hameln-Pyrmont district since then.
