Calès is a French commune with 167 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lot department in the Occitanie region. It belongs to the Arrondissement of Gourdon and the canton of Souillac . The inhabitants are called "Calésiens" or "Calésiennes".

geography

The municipality is located in the Bouriane countryside east of the D820 departmental road between Cahors (49 km southwest) and Souillac (15 km north) and on the D673 departmental road. Calès is west of the river Ouysse .

Calès is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lacave in the north, Rocamadour in the east, Couzou in the southeast, Reilhaguet in the southwest, Payrac in the west and Loupiac in the northwest.
