Chüden is a village in the district town of Salzwedel in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt , Germany.

The village of Chüden consists of the districts Groß Chüden , Klein Chüden and Ritze .

history

On December 1, 1972, the community of Groß Chüden was renamed Chüden. The previous community became the district of Groß Chüden. At the same time, the municipality of Ritze from the Salzwedel district with its Klein Chüden district was incorporated into Chüden. Klein Chüden was incorporated into Ritze on July 1, 1950.

Until the end of 2009, the previously independent municipality of Chüden consisted of the districts of Groß Chüden, Klein Chüden and Ritze. She was a member of the administrative association Salzwedel-Land .

On April 22nd, 2009, the municipal council of the municipality of Chüden decided by means of a territorial change agreement that the municipality of Chüden should be incorporated into the Hanseatic city of Salzwedel. This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010.

After the previously independent municipality of Chüden was incorporated, Groß Chüden, Klein Chüden and Ritze became districts of the Hanseatic city of Salzwedel. The local constitution was introduced for the incorporated municipality in accordance with §§ 86 ff. Municipality code of Saxony-Anhalt . The incorporated municipality of Chüden and future districts Groß Chüden, Klein Chüden and Ritze became the locality of the receiving Hanseatic city of Salzwedel. In the incorporated municipality and now Chüden, a local council with five members including the local mayor was formed.
