Bombeck belongs to the village of Osterwohle and is a district of the Hanseatic city of Salzwedel and in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
The Altmark village of Bombeck, a round square village with a church on the square, is located one kilometer east of Osterwohle and nine kilometers west of Salzwedel on the river Alte Dumme. In the north is the high sheepfold with a height of about 50 meters.
history
In the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375 the place is listed as Bonnibeke or Boumbeke . The von dem Knesebeck owned four farms. Other mentions are 1608 Bombke , 1687 Bomcke and 1804 Bombeck .
The land reform in 1945 recorded: 17 properties under 100 hectares had a total of 325 hectares. The church owned 52 acres of land.
Incorporations
Bombeck was an independent municipality in the Salzwedel district . On July 1, 1950, Bombeck was incorporated into the Osterwohle community.
Until the end of 2009, the district of Bombeck belonged to the independent municipality of Osterwohle - together with the districts of Osterwohle , Klein Gerstedt , Groß Gerstedt (with the Wolfsmühle residential area) and Wistedt - and was a member of the Salzwedel-Land administrative community . Since January 1, 2010, the district of Bombeck has belonged to the newly formed village of Osterwohle and thus to the city of Salzwedel .

The Evangelical parish of Bombeck belonged to the parish of Bombeck. Today the Protestant Christians from Bombeck belong to the parish of Osterwohle-Dähre in the parish of Salzwedel in the provost district of Stendal-Magdeburg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
Culture and sights
- The Evangelical village church Bombeck is a field stone building from the 15th century with some late Gothic painting. It was the mother church of the parish Bombeck with branch churches in Groß Gerstedt , Klein Gerstedt , Klein Wieblitz , Eversdorf , Rockenthin , Hestedt , Seeben and Cheine .
- The local cemetery is in the churchyard.
- In front of the church in Bombeck there is a memorial for war victims, a stepped wall crowned by an iron cross and two steel helmets.
