Niephagen belongs to the village of Tylsen and is a district of the Hanseatic city of Salzwedel in the Altmark district of Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The Niephagen Vorwerk is located about 3 kilometers southeast of Tylsen and 9 kilometers southwest of Salzwedel in the north of the Altmark . The short mountain ditch drains the south of the place. The Ferchauer Forest nature reserve is also to the south . In the north is the Tylsen Forest with a pond system that was formerly called Back-Moor .

Neighboring towns are Tylsen in the north-west, Wieblitz-Eversdorf in the north-east and Wallstawe in the west.

history

The first mention of Niephagen comes from the year 1344 as Niepaw , when the income from Busso von Wallstawe was taken over by von der Schulenburg in two villages .

In the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375 the village is listed as Nipane , those of the Knesebeck and the von der Schulenburg owned it. Further mentions are 1598 the wüeste Dorfstette, zum Niepege , 1711 Niephagen , 1721 Niepage , 1781 on a map the desert Feldmarck Niepow, the Niepowsche Holtz and 1804 Schäferei Niephagen, Niepage .

In 1840 there was the Niepagen shepherd's farm for the Tylsen manor with two houses and a jug . In 1895 there was a Vorwerk Niephagen with three residential buildings and the Niephagen forestry with one residential building. In 1895 and 1905 2 residents lived in the forestry department.

Incorporations

The Vorwerk Niephagen used to belong to the Tylsen manor district as a residential area . The manor district was dissolved on September 30, 1928. The main part of the manor district and the Vorwerk Niephagen were combined with the rural community of Tylsen . So Niephagen became a district of Tylsen.

By means of a territorial change agreement, the Tylsen municipality council decided on December 11, 2008 that the Tylsen municipality should be incorporated into the Hanseatic city of Salzwedel. This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010. After incorporation of the previously independent municipality of Tylsen, Niephagen became part of the Hanseatic city of Salzwedel. The local constitution was introduced for the incorporated municipality in accordance with §§ 86 ff. Municipality code of Saxony-Anhalt . The incorporated municipality of Tylsen and the future districts of Niephagen and Tylsen became part of the receiving Hanseatic city of Salzwedel. A local council with five members including the local mayor was formed in the incorporated municipality and now the village of Tylsen.

As a result, the district of Niephagen has belonged to the locality of Tylsen and the Hanseatic city of Salzwedel since January 1st 2010.
