Copa de Oro Nicolás Leoz
The Copa de Oro Nicolás Leoz , also ( Portuguese : Copa Ouro ), was a short-lived South American club soccer competition organized by the Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol ( CONMEBOL ) and named after its president Nicolás Leoz . The competition was planned annually from 1993, but was soon discontinued due to lack of interest.
The four winners of the previous year of the Copa Libertadores , the Supercopa Libertadores , the Copa Master Supercopa Libertadores (1996 Copa Conmebol Master ) and the Copa Conmebol were eligible to participate . The games were partly decided in a two-way leg and partly in just one game.
