Dahlhausen was a village in the municipality of Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district . Today it forms the northern part of Ehrenhausen .

location

Dahlhausen lies on the Leuscheid in the valley of the Irsenbach . Neighboring towns are Ehrentalsmühle in the south: Schabernack in the northeast, Ückertseifen in the south, Himmeroth in the west and Leidhecke in the north. Dahlhausen is on Landesstrasse 312 .

history

It was named after the dialect Hus im Dahl , house in the valley. In the map of Tranchot (1801-1828) it was entered as Thalhausen . The village belonged to the parish of Leuscheid and at times to the mayor's office of Herchen .

In 1830 Dahlhausen had 78 residents.

In 1845 the hamlet had 119 inhabitants in 22 houses. 14 of them were Catholic, 99 Protestant and 6 Jewish.

In 1888 Ehrentalsmühle had 81 residents in 22 houses.

131 people lived here in 1962 and 118 in 1976.
