Dirk-Oliver Quilling (* 26. February 1965 in Offenbach ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and, since 1 March 2010, district administrator of the district Offenbach .

Life

After graduating from the Goetheschule in Neu-Isenburg , Oliver Quilling studied law at the Goethe University in Frankfurt up to the first state examination in February 1990. He completed his legal clerkship at the Darmstadt Regional Court from May 1990 with the second state examination in March 1993. Since April In 1993 he was admitted to the Frankfurt bar.

Oliver Quilling has been married to Andrea Quilling since February 2005.

Quilling joined the CDU in 1983. Two years later he was elected to the board of directors and, in 1991, party chairman of the CDU Neu-Isenburg. In 1989 he was elected to the city ​​council of Neu-Isenburg. Two years later he became chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.

After the previous incumbent Robert Maier did not run again, Oliver Quilling was elected Mayor of Neu-Isenburg in 1995 as the youngest mayor in Hesse at the age of 30. He was confirmed in this office for the first time in October 2001 with 78.5% and a second time in October 2006 with 83.3%.

In addition to the election to the city council in 1989 election to the council of the district Offenbach, the Quilling since heard continuously. Since 2000 he has led the CDU parliamentary group in the district council. The CDU district association Offenbach-Land nominated Quilling on March 21, 2009 with 99% as a candidate for election to the Offenbach district on September 27, 2009. In the district election, Quilling narrowly missed the absolute majority with 49.7%. In the subsequent runoff election on October 11, 2009, he received 63.3% of the votes cast and was thus elected district administrator. He took office on March 1, 2010. In the district election on September 27, 2015, Quilling received an absolute majority with 59.3% in the first ballot and was thus confirmed in office for a further six years (until February 28, 2022).
