Jalil ( Russian Джалиль ; Tatar Җәлил , Cəlil or Cälil ) is an urban-type settlement with 13,937 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010) in the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation , about 300 km southeast of Kazan .

In the center of Jalil

The place in Sarmanowo Rajon was founded in 1964 and received the status of an urban-type settlement in 1968. It is named after the Tatar poet Musa Cälil (Russian Муса Джалиль / Mussa Jalil). The main line of business is oil production.
