Aksubajewo ( Russian Аксуба́ево ; Tatar Аксубай ) is an urban-type settlement in the Republic of Tatarstan ( Russia ) with 10,008 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The settlement is located about 150 km southeast of the republic capital Kazan on the river Malaya Sultscha (Little Sultscha), which flows over the Bolshaya Sultscha (Big Sultscha) to the left Volga tributary Great Cheremshan .
Aksubajewo is the administrative center of the Aksubajewski Rajons and the seat and sole place of the municipality of the same name (gorodskoje posselenije).
history
The place was founded in 1771 and later became the administrative seat of a Volost .
Since 1930, Aksubayevo has been the center of an agricultural and forestry region (since 1965 within today's boundaries), since 1973 an urban-type settlement.

Aksubayevo is located on the regional road 16K-0098, which leads from Nurlat , 50 km to the south , where the nearest train station on the Ulyanovsk - Tschischmy (- Ufa ) line is, to Tschistopol an der Kama .
