Kuibyschewski Saton ( Russian Ку́йбышевский Зато́н ; Tatar Куйбышев Затоны Kuybışev Zatonı ) is an urban-type settlement in Russia with 2677 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

location

The settlement is located in Rajon Kamsko-Ustinski in the Republic of Tatarstan and is about 8 km from the administrative center kamskoye ustye removed. It is located on the west bank of the Kuibyshev reservoir dammed the Volga , at the height of the Kama -Zuflusses, about 70 km south of Republic capital Kazan .

history

Kuibyschewski Saton was created as a workers' settlement under the former name Spasski Saton. When the Kuibyshev reservoir was created, the original settlement, which was on the eastern side of the Volga, was flooded and rebuilt on the western side.
