Aktjubinski ( Russian Актю́бинский ; Tatar Актүбә , Aqtübä ) is an urban-type settlement in the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia with 9237 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is a good 250 km as the crow flies southeast of the republic capital Kazan on the upper reaches of the Jamaschka river, a tributary of the left Kama tributary Stepnoi Sai , in the watershed area of the Bugulma-Belebeier heights .
Aktyubinsky belongs to the Asnakayevsky district . The settlement is located about 20 km west-southwest of the district administrative center Asnakajewo and is the seat and only locality of the municipality (gorodskoje posselenije) Possjolok Aktjubinski.
history
A village with the initial name Ak Tubja in the area of today's settlement was founded in 1921. In 1951 crude oil was found nearby. The workers' settlement built in this context with its current name was given the status of an urban-type settlement in 1956.

North of the settlement passes the regional road 16K-0077, which connects the district center of Asnakajewo with Nizhnyaya Maktama, which is about 25 kilometers west of Aktyubinsky, not far from the city of Almetyevsk , where it reaches the federal highway R239 from Kazan to Orenburg .
In this direction, the nearest train station Minnibajewo on the Agrys - Bugulma route is 40 km away by road . A little further south to Bugulma on the main line Ulyanovsk - Tschischmy (- Ufa ).
