Aktanysch administrative center is the Rajons Aktanyschski and seat and only town in the rural community Aktanyschskoje selskoje posselenije.

history

The place has been known since 1715; the area was predominantly populated by Bashkirs , who still make up about a third of the population today, as well as Tatars and Russians . In 1866 it became the seat of a Volost in Ujesd Menselinsk of the Ufa governorate, which had been spun off from the Orenburg governorate .

In 1920 Aktanysch came to the Menselinsk canton of the newly formed Tatar ASSR . With the abolition of the cantonal structure, the place became the administrative seat of a Rajon named after him on August 10, 1930. With the exception of the period from February 1, 1963 to January 12, 1965, when the area was annexed to the Menselinski rajon, this district still exists today.

In 1988 Aktanysch received the status of an urban-type settlement , but lost it again in 1991.
