The list of governments of the republic follows the official census of the Estonian State Chancellery.
history
On February 24, 1918, the Republic of Estonia declared its detachment from Russia and state sovereignty. In 1940/41 Estonia was occupied by the Soviet Union, from 1941 to 1944 by the German Reich and again from 1944 to 1991 by the Soviet Union. During the second Soviet occupation, an Estonian government- in- exile existed abroad to represent the Republic of Estonia . On August 20, 1991, Estonia declared it regained its independence. The seat of government is the Stenbockhaus .
