The 1982/83 European Cup was the 22nd edition of the competition, in which 23 handball club teams from 22 countries took part. They qualified for the European Cup in their home countries in the previous season . In the final, Spartak Kiev beat last year's finalist RK Radnički Belgrade and won the cup for the ninth time.
