The 2011/12 season of the Oberliga Südwest was the 34th season of the football Oberliga Südwest and the fourth as the fifth highest division in Germany. FC 08 Homburg secured the championship and promotion to the regional league with a ten-point lead over SVN Zweibrücken . The Homburgers succeeded in direct promotion back to the regional league.

The relegation ranks were occupied by SV Alemannia Waldalgesheim and the second team from Eintracht Trier .

The promoters were TSG Pfeddersheim from the Association League Southwest , SV Mehring from the Rhineland League and SC Halberg Brebach from the Saarland League .

The top scorer was Dino Toppmöller from FSV Salmrohr with 24 goals. The Oberliga Südwest traded under the name Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar from the following season .
