The 2005/06 season was the second season of the women's regional football league as the third highest division. 47 teams played in four groups for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga or against relegation to the Association / Oberliga. Since the Regionalverband Süd did not provide a regional league, a fifth promoted team was determined by a promotion round between the upper leagues of Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and Bavaria.
North
The second team of Hamburger SV became champions of the northern group . The relegation place occupied the SV Hastenbeck .
