Fulvio Caccia (born January 3, 1942 in Cadenazzo , entitled to live in Cadenazzo) is a Swiss politician , Ticino State Councilor and National Councilor of the Christian Democratic People's Party (CVP).

Life

Caccia studied at the ETH Zurich and also received her doctorate (Dipl. El. Ing. And Dr. sc. Techn.). From 1977 to 1987 he was in the State Council of the Canton of Ticino. At around the same time (1979 to 1988) he was President of the Federal Energy Commission. On November 30, 1987, he was elected to the National Council. There he was on the Transport and Telecommunications Commission, which he also chaired. On November 28, 1998, he resigned from the Grand Chamber.

After his resignation, he sat in many institutions and even presided over most of them. He was a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (1988 to 1997), a member of the Technology Assessment Steering Committee (TA Swiss, since 1992; as President since January 1, 2006), President of the Federal Communications Commission (ComCom, 1997–2004), and Vice President of the SATW (2001–2008), Vice President of ICTswitzerland (2006–2008), President of asut (June 2006-May 2012), President of Caritas Switzerland (1997–2012) and foreign member of the Finnish Academy of Technology.

The engineer is married and has three children. He lives in Camorino .
