Laura Sadis

Laura Sadis (born March 11, 1961 in Bellinzona ) is a Swiss politician , Ticino Grand Councilor , State Councilor and National Councilor of the FDP. The Liberals .

Life

Laura Sadis was born as the daughter of the engineer and former Ticino State Councilor Ugo Sadis. She grew up in Lugano, studied economics at the University of Zurich , is a certified tax advisor and works in the field of tax and management consulting.

Sadis sat from 1988 to 1996 in the municipal council ( legislature ) of Lugano and from 1995 to 2003 in the Grand Council of the Canton of Ticino. She was elected to the National Council in the National Council elections in 2003 , to which she was a member until 2007. From 2007 to 2015 she served as Ticino State Councilor (President 2011) and headed the Finance and Economic Department. In 2015 she did not stand for re-election.

From 2004 Sadis was a member of the management of the FDP Switzerland . From 2007 to 2015 she was a member of the Bank Council of the Swiss National Bank .
