Carlo Antonio Forni

Carlo Antonio Forni (born September 16, 1810 in Airolo , † December 4, 1881 in Bellinzona ) was a Swiss archivist , politician , Ticino State Councilor and Council of States of the Free Democratic Party (FDP).

Life

Carlo Antonio Forni was born to the farmer Carlo Antonio Forni von Airolo and Maria Ramelli. He studied in the seminaries of Pollegio and Monza ; from 1831 he worked as a primary school teacher in Biasca ; from 1832 he was a civil servant (secretary and archivist) in Bellinzona ; from 1849 to 1865 he was the editorial secretary of the Ticino State Council.

From 1865 to 1873 he was State Councilor for the radical liberal party and headed the building department. In 1864 he was a member of the Council of States.
