The $ 5.98 EP - Garage Days Re-Revisited (CD version: The $ 9.98 CD - Garage Days Re-Revisited ) is the first EP from the US metal band Metallica . The mini album contains cover songs of various NWoBHM - and punk rock -Bands and has been in only six days. It came out after the release of the studio album Master of Puppets .

Garage Days Re-Revisited is the first record to feature bassist Jason Newsted instead of Cliff Burton , who died in an accident on the tour bus in 1986.

The songs included here were later re-released on Metallica's compilation album Garage Inc. , along with other cover songs .
