Gordoje ( Russian Гордое , German Bürgersdorf ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Gvardeysk in Gvardeysky District .
Geographical location
Gordoje is three kilometers southeast of the former district town of Snamensk (Wehlau) and borders the regional road 27A-025 (ex R508 ). The next train station is Znamensk on the Kaliningrad – Chernyshevskoje railway line (Königsberg – Eydtkuhnen / Eydtkau) - the former Prussian Eastern Railway - for onward travel to Lithuania and the Russian heartland.
history
On June 13, 1874, Bürgersdorf became the official seat and eponymous place for a newly established district . Until 1945 he belonged to the district of Wehlau in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia .
In 1945 Bürgersdorf came to the Soviet Union as a result of the war with northern East Prussia . In 1950 the place was given the Russian name Gordoje and was assigned to the Bolschepoljanski selski Sowet in the Gwardeisk Raion . Since 1991, the site was developed by the urban-type settlement Snamensk administered from. From 2005 to 2014 Gordoje belonged to the rural community Znamenskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Gwardeisk.

Before 1883 the manor district of Pinnau was incorporated, but in 1928 it was reclassified to Paterswalde (today in Russian: Bolschaja Poljana) in the district of the same name. Due to further restructuring, only two communities belonged to the Bürgersdorf district on January 1, 1945: Bürgersdorf and Holländerei.

With its predominantly Protestant population, Bürgersdorf was incorporated into the parish of the parish church of St. Jacobi in Wehlau (today Russian: Snamensk) until 1945 . It belonged to the church district Wehlau in the church province of East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Gordjoje is in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Bolschaja Poljana (Paterswalde) , a branch of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
