Geographical location

Oserki is located south of the Pregel ( Russian Pregolja ) on the Russian trunk road R 508 . It is 16 kilometers to the district capital of Gwardeisk (Tapiau) and 26 kilometers to the metropolis of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) . history

The village, called Groß Lindenau until 1946 , was integrated into the newly created district of Ottenhagen in 1874 (from 1927: Groß Ottenhagen, today in Russian: Berjosowka). Until 1939 it belonged to the district of Königsberg (Prussia) , then to the district of Samland in the district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1910 a total of 1,057 inhabitants were registered in Groß Lindenau. Their number rose to 1,397 by 1933 and totaled 1,514 in 1939.

As a result of the war, Groß Lindenau and northern East Prussia came to the Soviet Union in 1945 and received the Russian name Oserki in 1947. At the same time the place became the seat of a village soviet in Gwardeisk district . From 2005 to 2014 Oserki was the seat of a rural community and has been part of the Gwardeisk district since then.

Gravel and concrete

Because of the large amount of gravel , Windschild & Langelott built a concrete mixing plant in 1910 , in which mainly high-quality pipes were produced. The hall had an area of 1000 m 2 with a siding. More than 20,000 of these tubes left the factory every year. The greater part of the 500- acre company site was in the Seewalde district . There was a large gravel deposit in the Pregel valley there. In 1924, a 1,800 m long canal was built to the Pregel to remove gravel and sand . A deep quarry pond was created , which was 90 acres in size at the end of the war.

church

The village of Groß Lindenau, with its mostly Protestant population, was parish until 1945 in the parish of the church Groß Ottenhagen (today Russian: Berjosowka ). It belonged to the parish of Königsberg-Land I (south of the Pregel) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Groß Lindenau is located in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Gwardeisk (Tapiau) , a subsidiary congregation of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
