Istrowka ( Russian Истровка , German Schaberau ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Gvardeysk in Gvardeysky District .
Istrowka also includes the former Zargen suburb of the Sanditten manor (today in Russian: Lunino).
Geographical location
Istrowka is four kilometers east of the district town of Gwardeisk (Tapiau) and can be reached from the old route of the federal road A229 (former German Reichsstraße 1 , now Kommunalstraße 27K-047) via a spur road (Kommunalstraße 27K-222). The next train station is Gwardeisk on the Kaliningrad – Tschernyschewskoje railway line (Königsberg – Eydtkuhnen / Eydtkau) , a section of the former Prussian Eastern Railway .
history
Schaberau
The village of Schaberau was first mentioned in 1297. In 1874 the place was incorporated into the newly formed administrative district Sanditten (today Russian: Lunino), which belonged to the district of Wehlau in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910, 128 people lived in Schaberau.
On November 1, 1928, Schaberau lost its independence when it merged with Pelohnen (Russian: Vyborgskoje, no longer existent) and Sanditten (Lunino) to form the new rural community of Sanditten.
Frames
Zargen was founded around 1400 and was the Vorwerk of the manor Sanditten (today Russian: Lunino), to whose administrative district in the Wehlau district it belonged.
Istrovka
As a result of the war, Schaberau and Zargen came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 . In 1947 the place Schaberau received the Russian name "Istrowka" and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Sorinski selski Sowet in Gwardeisk Rajon . Apparently, without a special decree, the former frame was also slammed into Istrowka. From 2005 to 2014 Istrowka belonged to the rural municipality Sorinskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Gwardeisk.
church
Both Schaberau and Zargen were parish in the parish of the Grünhayn Church (Russian: Krasnaja Gorka , no longer exists today) until 1945 due to their almost exclusively Protestant population . It belonged to the church district Wehlau in the church province of East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Istrowka is located in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation in the city of Gwardeisk (Tapiau) , a branch congregation of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
