Belovo ( Russian Велово , German  Perpolken , lithuanian Perpulkos ) is a place in the Russian Kaliningrad region and belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Gvardeysk in Gvardeysky District . Remnants of the local office Perkeisten / zu Roddau apparently also belong to Belowo.

Beloveo is located in the east of the Samland west of the Russian trunk road R 512 . It is 21 kilometers to the south-east to the former district town of Znamensk (Wehlau) . There is no train connection. Until 1945, Roddau and Perkuiken (today both Russian: Nachimowo and already part of the Polessk Rajon ) were the next train stations on the Tapiau – Labiau (Russian: Gwardeisk - Polessk ) railway line of the Wehlau – Friedlander Kreisbahnen , which is no longer in operation today.

history

The estate village Perpolken in 1874 in the newly built office district Goldbach (Russian Today: Slawinsk) in the district Wehlau , Administrative district Königsberg , in the Prussian province of East Prussia incorporated. In 1910 the village had 70 inhabitants.

In 1438 the place Perkeisten was mentioned, which was in the immediate vicinity of Perkuiken and in 1683 was considered its Vorwerk . At that time it was owned by the Achatz von der Trenck. The place was shaped by a large courtyard, and the number of inhabitants in 1905 was 41. In 1911 the place was named as belonging to Roddau, and after that the name Perkeisten disappeared completely.

On September 30, 1928, Perpolken gave up its independence and merged with the rural community Roddau-Perkuiken and the Wilhelminenhof estate to form the new rural community Roddau-Perkuiken.

As a result of the war, Perpolken and northern East Prussia came to the Soviet Union in 1945 and in 1947 received the Russian name “Belove”. At the same time, the place was incorporated into the village Soviet Slawinski selski Sowet in Gwardeisk Raion . From 2005 to 2014 the place belonged to the rural municipality Slawinskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district Gwardeisk.
