Kruglowka ( Russian Кругловка , German Neuendorf, Kreis Wehlau , Lithuanian Navinynai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Gvardeysk in Gvardeysky District .
Geographical location
Kruglowka is five kilometers northwest of the Rajon town of Gwardeisk (Tapiau) on a side road that leads Sabarje (Moterau) on the regional road 27A-028 (ex R512 ) to Kalinkowo (Irglacken) . A road coming from Prigorodnoje (Hasenberg) also ends in Kruglowka .
There is a rail connection via Gwardeisk on the Kaliningrad – Chernyshevskoje railway line (Königsberg – Eydtkuhnen / Eydtkau) (section of the former Prussian Eastern Railway ) for onward travel to Lithuania and the Russian heartland. Until 1945 there were still two small train stations in the immediate vicinity: in Irglacken (Kalinkowo) on the Tapiau – Possinder (- Königsberg) and in Moterau (Sabarje) on the Tapiau – Labiau railway , both operated by the Wehlau – Friedländer Kreisbahnen .

The founding date of the Gutsdorf, known as Neuendorf until 1946, was in 1405.
In 1874 the Neuendorf estate and the Neuendorf rural community were incorporated into the newly established Pomauden district (Russian: Luschki, no longer existing). It existed until 1945 and was part of the circle Wehlau in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia . On November 1, 1928, the manor district and the rural community merged to form the new rural community Neuendorf.
As a result of the Second World War , Neuendorf and northern East Prussia became part of the Soviet Union in 1945 . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name "Kruglowka" and was assigned at the same time to the village Soviet Slawinski selski Sowet in Gwardeisk Raion . From 2005 to 2014 Kruglowka belonged to the rural municipality of Slavinskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Gwardeisk.

church
With its almost exclusively Protestant population, Neuendorf was parish into the parish of the Tapiau town church until 1945 . It belonged to the church district Wehlau in the church province of East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union . Even today there is an ecclesiastical connection to Gwardeisk, but the town church there is now a place of worship of the Russian Orthodox Church . In Gwardeisk, however, there is an Evangelical Lutheran congregation, which is a subsidiary congregation of the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
