Handball Regional League West 1995/96

The 1995/1996 season of the men's regional handball league was the 26th in its history. A total of 24 teams in a north and a south relay played for the West German championship. The four best-placed teams of their squadron played for the title of West German champions in 1996 after 22 match days. This was achieved by SR Höhscheid .

Three teams had to be relegated to the upper leagues: TV Korschenbroich (Niederrhein), HSV Düsseldorf 2 (Niederrhein) and Wermelskirchener TV (Niederrhein). In addition, the HSG Allianz Köln (Middle Rhine) withdrew its team for the next season.

TV Mönchengladbach becomes Borussia Mönchengladbach .
