action

Heintje Fleming lives with his single mother Franziska, who runs a small flower shop. One day before Heintje is due to travel to a holiday camp, the landlord Kleinschmidt appears in the shop to terminate the rental agreement. In the attic, Heintje happened to find old newspaper clippings about his divorced father, the famous racing driver Peter Fleming. Without further ado, the boy decides to go looking for his father. While his friend Walter from the holiday camp sends fictitious letters to his mother, Heintje's trail leads via Hamburg and Norderstedt to Bremen .

Peter Fleming appears there under the name Knut at a stunt show . Since Heintje can prevent two reporters from taking photos of Peter, he is invited to his house. The racing driver has no idea yet that the boy is his son. When Peter Fleming has to travel to design a new racing car, Heintje again goes to Hamburg. While looking for a place to stay, he met the street musician Aljocha, in whose dacha he stayed.

Meanwhile, Peter learns from his boss Hartmann that he will no longer race because of some failures. When he comes home with his friend Max, Heintje is already expecting them. He still doesn't reveal himself as Peter's son and instead claims to be a fan. To Heintje's disappointment, a certain Sylvia turns up there, who is after Peter again after her divorce.

When Heintje and Aljocha are picked up by the police, Peter fetches the boy from the station. A little later he found out that he was supposed to stand in for a failed driver at a car race on the Nürburgring . Sylvia discovers Heintje's true identity and wants to reveal everything to Peter. Heintje then snatches his passport from her and is hit by a car. Peter, who arrives at the scene of the accident shortly afterwards, now finds out that the boy who died in the accident is his son.

Peter calls Franziska from the hospital. This immediately makes its way there. Heintje, who has suffered a fractured skull and wakes up in the meantime, expressly wants Peter to take part in the race. In fact, he goes to the Nürburgring. Meanwhile, Franziska Fleming arrives at the hospital. After Heintje woke up, they both watch the race on the radio. Peter Fleming wins the car race in the last second. While still in the hospital, he reconciles with Franziska.

background

After Heintje - A heart goes on a journey and Heintje - Once the sun will shine again, this was the third and last film in a trilogy that showed the successful child star in the lead role. The direction was taken over by the established Werner Jacobs , with whom Heintje also shot some of the films in the series Die Lümmel von der Erste Bank . The filming took place in 1970 in West Berlin , Hamburg and on the Nürburgring in the Eifel . The responsible film architect was Ernst H. Albrecht . The FSK released the film on November 10, 1970 from the age of six. The world premiere took place on November 12th.

music

While the rest of the film music was written by Raimund Rosenberger , the film mainly features numerous hits . Heintje sang the following titles:

  • This is for the big ones
  • Your dreams - my dreams
  • When summer comes
  • Your tears are mine too
  • The most beautiful day in your life

Together with the Don Kosaken Chor Serge Jaroff he sang:

  • Evening bells
  • The little bell sounds monotonously bright

Without Heintje you can hear the Don Kosaken Chor with the piece Kalinka and the song of the Volga tugs .

criticism

“So-called popular entertainment with a false description of the world. From the situations to types and dialogues to the songs of the then child star Heintje, everything is cleverly and simply tinkered with gold-cut humanity and the world: a mendacious pretense of a healthy or at best seemingly endangered world full of cleanliness. "

"Business-ready family entertainment tailored to the general public with a bit of feeling, but overall bearable."
