Hlinné (Hungarian Agyagospatak - until 1907 Agyagos ) is a municipality in the east of Slovakia with a population of 1,869 (December 31, 2019), which for Okres Vranov nad Topľou , part of kraj Prešovský heard and the traditional landscape Zemplín is counted.
geography
The municipality is located in the Topľa valley under the Slanské vrchy mountains at an altitude of 152 m nm and is 12 kilometers northwest of Vranov nad Topľou . The Hrabovec brook flows into the Topľa in the village.
history
Hlinné was first mentioned in writing in 1333. A mill was built in the 15th century, probably also a church and the place belonged to the territory of the Čičava castle . In 1828 there are 77 houses and 593 inhabitants and was an agricultural village.
