Holiday is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pasco County in the US state of Florida with 22,403 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Holiday borders on Tarpon Springs ( Pinellas County ) to the south and is located approximately 60 km southwest of Dade City and approximately 50 km northwest of Tampa . The CDP is crossed by US Highway 19 and Florida State Road 595 .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 22,403 inhabitants at that time were distributed across 12,480 households. The population density was 1611.7 inh / km². 89.5% of the population identified themselves as whites, 4.1% as African American , 0.5% as Indians and 1.4% as Asian Americans . 2.2% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.3% to several ethnic groups. 10.0% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 and 35.9% of all households lived in 25.6% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 59.0% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.26 people and the average family size was 2.81 people.

22.1% of the population were younger than 20 years, 23.7% were 20 to 39 years old, 27.3% were 40 to 59 years old, and 27.0% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 43 years. 48.6% of the population were male and 51.4% were female.

The median annual income was $ 34,794, with 19.5% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 87.79% of the population, 4.57% spoke Greek and 7.64% had another mother tongue.
