IC 267 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Aries on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 161 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 75,000 ly. Together with NGC 1134 , it forms a pair of galaxies likely to be gravitationally bound .
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 1115 , NGC 1116 , NGC 1117 , NGC 1127 , among others .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on November 8, 1887 .
