Career
Larsson comes from the youth department of the club in his hometown, the IF Troja-Ljungby . The defender played there until 2013, when he played his first games in the A-Juniors class as a 16-year-old. For the 2013/14 season, Larsson moved to Frölunda HC , where he made his first appearances in the men's team in the Svenska Hockeyligan in the 2014/15 season . At the same time, however, he also ran for the U18 and U20 juniors of the club - as in the previous year. He was also selected in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft 2015 in 27th place by the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League .
In the 2015/16 season , Larsson finally prevailed and became a regular in Frölunda's SHL squad. In addition to winning the Champions Hockey League , he also won the Swedish championship with Frölunda . The defender was then signed on trial by Anaheim's farm team , the San Diego Gulls , from the American Hockey League at the end of April 2016 and used in a play-off game. A month later, he received a three-year NHL entry contract from the Anaheim Ducks. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, the Ducks initially loaned him to his ex-club Frölunda HC for a few games in the Champions Hockey League, but brought him into their squad at the beginning of the NHL season. Larsson made his debut there in mid-October before he was sent to the AHL after four appearances with the San Diego Gulls. After he had completed four missions there, the management agreed with Frölunda on a renewed loan, so that he joined the roster of the reigning Swedish champions at the beginning of November. At the beginning of the 2017/18 season, the Swede moved permanently to North America.
