John E. Everroad

John E. Everroad (born January 13, 1913 in Romney , Tippecanoe County , Indiana , † August 1984 ) was an American politician . Between 1967 and 1971 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Nebraska .

Career

John Everroad attended public schools in his home country, including Columbus High School and Franklin College there . Since 1952 he was based in Nebraska. He became a successful businessman who was a board member and chairman in many companies. He also owned a farm and was a director of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce. Politically, he joined the Republican Party . In August 1972, he took part as a delegate at the Republican National Convention in Miami Beach , on which President Richard Nixon was nominated for re-election. He held various political offices at the local and state levels. He was also a member of several organizations and associations.

In 1966 Everroad was elected Lieutenant Governor of Nebraska alongside Norbert T. Tiemann . He held this office between 1967 and 1971. He was Deputy Governor and formal chairman of the Nebraska Legislature . After his time as Lieutenant Governor, he was no longer politically active. He died in August 1984.
