James Pearson

James Pearson (born 1873 in Pana , Christian County , Illinois , †  April 16, 1950 in Shenandoah , Iowa ) was an American politician . Between 1915 and 1917 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Nebraska .

Career

James Pearson had lived in Nebraska since 1885. First he lived in Cass County and then in Moorefield . His job was in the grain trade. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party . From 1913 to 1915 he was a member of the then House of Representatives from Nebraska .

In 1914, Pearson was elected Lieutenant Governor of Nebraska alongside John H. Morehead . He held this office between 1915 and 1917. He was deputy governor and formal chairman of the state senate . He later left the state of Nebraska and moved to Shenandoah, Iowa, where he became a radio chaplain. He died on April 16, 1950 of complications from a stroke he had suffered a year earlier.
