Julian Korb (born March 21, 1992 in Essen ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with Hannover 96 .

Korb played at TuS Preußen Vluyn , Hülser SV and DJK / VfL Tönisberg in the youth. In 2004 he moved to the youth department of MSV Duisburg , before joining the youth team at Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2006. Since January 2010 Korb was a player in the second Gladbach team in the Regionalliga . By September 2013 he was in 94 games in which he scored five goals. He made his debut in the Bundesliga on May 5, 2012 when he played against 1. FSV Mainz 05 , when he came on for Tolga Ciğerci in the second half . In the UEFA Europa League , he came on December 6, 2012 in the encounter at Fenerbahçe Istanbul for the first time from the start in a professional competitive game.

In the 2013/14 season , Korb made his breakthrough in the Bundesliga. He was used as a right-back from the 10th matchday in 22 games - each in the starting line-up. In 2014/15 he qualified with Borussia as third in the table for the UEFA Champions League , in which, however, they did not survive the 2015/16 group stage . The following season, basket with Borussia was eliminated again in the Champions League group stage .

For the 2017/18 season Korb moved to Bundesliga promoted Hannover 96 .

National team

Korb played for the German youth teams in the ages U-15 to U-19 . On February 28, 2014 he was nominated for the U-21 for the first time .

On May 26, 2015, Julian Korb was nominated for the preliminary squad of the German U21s for the U21 European Football Championship 2015 in the Czech Republic.

Korb's father Michael Korb played in the 2nd Bundesliga for MSV Duisburg and Union Solingen .
