The canton of Château-du-Loir is a French constituency in the district La Fleche , in Sarthe and the region Pays de la Loire ; its main town is Montval-sur-Loir . Béatrice Pavy ( UMP ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2001 . Until the administrative reform of February 15, 2006, the canton belonged to the Arrondissement of Le Mans .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the cantons in March 2015, the canton of Château-du-Loir consisted of the eleven municipalities of Beaumont-Pied-de-Bœf , Château-du-Loir , Dissay-sous-Courcillon , Flée , Jupilles , Luceau , Montabon , Nogent -sur-Loir , Saint-Pierre-de-Chevillé , Thoiré-sur-Dinan and Vouvray-sur-Loir . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​189.35 km ² . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 7207.
