The District of Le Lude is a French canton in the Arrondissement La Fleche , in Sarthe and the region Pays de la Loire ; its main town is Le Lude . Louis-Jean de Nicolaÿ ( UMP ) was a representative in the General Council of the Département from 1985 to 2015 ; Brigitte Lecor and François Boussard (both DVD ) succeeded him as representatives .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the cantons in March 2015, the canton of La Flèche consisted of the nine municipalities of Chenu , Dissé-sous-le-Lude , La Bruère-sur-Loir , La Chapelle-aux-Choux , Le Lude , Luché-Pringé , Saint -Germain-d'Arcé , Savigné-sous-le-Lude and Thorée-les-Pins . Its layout corresponded to an area of 265.42 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 7216.
