The Canton Marcigny was 2015 a French constituency in the district Charolles , in Saône-et-Loire and in the region of Burgundy . Its main town was Marcigny . Jacques Rebillard ( DVG ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 1985 to 2015, last re-elected in 2011 . The canton was 224.67 km² and had 6185 inhabitants (1999), which corresponded to a population density of 28 inhabitants per km². It was on average 274 meters above sea ​​level , between 233 meters in Vindecy and 417 meters in Saint-Martin-du-Lac.
